Geotourism of Hormoz Island, Iran (Hormoz Salt Dome Natural Museum)

Diapir in fact has a Greek origin and this word is derived from two: Dia means Through and Peiro means hole making . Origin of magma is mantle. (Most of the Asthenosphere). Diapirism means a process in which some materials move upwards due to lower density from underneath and finally appear on the surface. The origins of diapir might be different so that some of them have igneous origins and the others originate from plaster work or even ice cells. The objectives of this study are: 1- The mechanism of formation and Origin of salt domes 2-Why Do Salt Domes Form? 3Salt dome forms in salt domes classification 4- Geographical location, geological Hormoz salt dome, geotourism attraction of this area 5-Economic Importance of Salt Domes. According to the results, Hormoz Island has the ability to attract domestic and foreign tourists.
