Abstract:
To investigate different cross-section flows around obstacles and determine their imposed flow coefficients is very important. Applied Forces to various structures depends on the nature and characteristics of the flow around these structures. The current study examined the cold and hot cylinder in the air flow and effective parameters such as pressure coefficient and speed/pressure contours will be investigated. Hence, the turbulence effect on flow sequence studied. First, the desired geometry is drawn and meshed, then the simulated. The results showed the formation of a tail behind a solid corpus when it is within the fluid flow. The tail’s speed is lower than the mainstream. Trail’s speed reduction leads to momentum reduction due to on object traction. Distance from the corpus increases the tails’ width and decreases the speed difference between tail and beyond it. Distance from cylinder center makes decrease in speed profile turbulence and makes them closer and decrease their difference.
