Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to examine the concepts of othering and difference in Kingsolver’s The Poisonwood Bible. Indeed the colonizers have been exploiting the colonized by means of cultural, social, and religious differences. They consider themselves as Us superior to the colonized that are considered as them . Within this perspective, the study addresses Barbara Kingsolver who has maintained a consistent flow thought focusing on the aforementioned concepts. She has described the differences clearly, making the reader familiar with the fallacy of such concepts like Orthering and Difference
