Abstract:

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), emitting from different industries into the environment, can cause serious problems for the human’s health. Biological methods for the waste air treatment comparing to the physical and chemical methods like incineration and adsorption, are proper methods for high flow rates and low pollutants concentration. In this study, distribution of velocity, pressure and concentration of hexane as a VOC have been studied and simulation results have a good agreement with the experimental data. The results reveals that the pressure and the concentration of hexane reduces and the velocity is almost consistent in the bioreactor
