Abstract:
The present work describes the use of directly suspend drop microextraction and air-assisted dispersive liquid-liquidmicroextraction method coupled with UV-Vis spectrophotometer for the analysis of nortriptyline in biological samples.Several important parameters which influence the extraction efficiency such as the kind of extracting solvent, volume ofthe aqueous sample solution (donor phase), volume of the organic extraction solvent (acceptor phase), pH of the donorphase, salt effect, extraction time, stirring rate and number of air injection were investigated. Under the optimalconditions the enrichment factors were above than 20. The linearity of the methods has been investigated between theranges of 0.006-1 μg mL-1. The precision of the method is based on the average relative standard deviation is lowerthan 7, for three different concentrations of the analyte. Finally, the proposed methods were applied for thedetermination of nortriptyline in biological samples and the reasonable relative recoveries were obtained.
