Abstract:

To compete in the global markets, satisfy the needs and expectations of customers and adapt to the changing nature of jobs, organizations are trying to employ people who work beyond their predetermined duties and roles, because it is believed that exceeding the defined jobs will be reflected in performance evaluation, affect employee participation in programs and increase their satisfaction. One of the tasks that can be described as beneficial behaviors that employees can perform beyond their job descriptions and which can make the employees innovative in their organizations is organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and employee satisfaction in organizations. To gather information, we reviewed the previous studies and described the ideas. The results of this study showed a direct correlation between organizational citizenship behavior and the job satisfaction of employees in organizations
