The Investigation of Political Manners of the Prophet of Islam

One of the challenging issues for the theoreticians of politics is how much rulers’ actions should be based on the principles of human moralities and what moral limitations exist for rulers. The life of the prophet of Islam, Muhammad, is full of lessons in terms of his political manners. Prophet Muhammad established a new religion and governmental system which was not limited to Arab countries and soon spread to Iran, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, and Andalucia. Studying political behavior of the Prophet in the early years of Islam, when the system was politically very weak and the enemies were so powerful and strong, can have very good lessons for those who are after gaining power and ruling a country. The behavior and manners of Prophet Muhammad when he took political power and established a government in Medina is a perfect example of appropriate behavior and political manners of a ruler of an Islamic country.
