Preparation of Nanosphere and Nanorod TiO2 Particles via Sol-Gel Method by TiCl4 as Precursor abstract
In this study TiO2 nano particles were prepared via sol-gel method by using TiCl4 asprecursor. The products were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy, laser particle analyzer and X-ray difractometer. Pure rutile phase was obtained by calcination of the powders at 900ºC. The results showed that surfactant/EtOH ratio influences morphology of the nano particles and it can be change from spherical to rod-like form. TiCl4/H2O ratio influences the crystallite size of the powders and it increases when TiCl4/H2O increases.
