Abstract:
In this paper, transmission expansion planning problem from transmission system operator (TSO) point of view is modeled and solved. The developed model, includes the reliability of power system which is one of the most important objectives of TSO.The reliability objective is considered under market-clearing process. Accordingly, bi-level programming model is used. The target of the transmission planning is to maximize system reliability while facilitating energy trading. The upper-level problem is constrained by a collection of lower-level problems representing market clearing with maximum social wale-fare objective. The developed model is mixed integer linear programming method which is solved by GAMS / Cplex
