Abstract:
The air quality is decreasing during decades and it is essential to find a way to enhance the quality of air by omitting its impurities and pollutants. CO is on the air pollutants which can be deleted by different methods from the air. In this paper one of the effective and promising techniques for CO removal, photocatalytic oxidation is investigated on Ce- Cu mixed oxide nanocatalysts. These catalysts were produced by sol-gel method and their Physico-chemical properties were characterized by SEM method. Also their activity in CO oxidation is analyzed in a photocatalytic reactor. It is found that, the catalyst which has more amount of Cu (molar ratio of Ce/Cu=1/3) has slightly better activity with 98% conversion in comparison with 91% conversion for the catalyst which its Ce/Cu molar ratio was 1.
