Abstract:

Our country is a multi –national, multi ethnic and multi-lingual country in which a lot of languages and dialects as well as variations in speech of people in different parts can be seen. Sociolinguistics is the study of any kinds of relationship between language and social factors. The 8 years of holy defense against enemies of the country witnessed a strong cooperation among all the social and ethnic groups all over the country. Resistance Literature is the realization of this resistance and cooperation. Any kind of variation in any written and oral documents of resistance literature can be seen as a reflex of solidarity, cooperation and sincerity among the nation. This study aims to investigate the sociolinguistic factors represented in resistance literature. In order to narrow down the scope of the study the researcher aimed to review the poems and songs recited and sung by two prominent figures who had a great influence in the 8 years of holly defense.
