Abstract:

In this Study, with respect to high importance of Xylenes in industry and dependence of their separation methods to accurate thermodynamic data, it is tried to introduce proportion thermodynamic model in order to predict thermodynamic properties of these materials. For this, using thermodynamic models results, equations of state and empirical models for solution are recommended for aromatic family compounds, and comparing them with experimental data in separation process is discussed. Results indicate NRTL high correspondence in comparison with other models for these mixtures. However, using NRTL for vapor phase has still errors witch is not negligible. So by usingNothnagel equation of state as vapor phase model, precise prediction for phase behavior and thermodynamic properties of xylene isomers of binary mixtures have been presented.
