Abstract:
This paper, proposed a new method for solving problem of economic load distribution (ELD), the aim is reducing the total fuel cost of generation units and also losses in power systems. Considering the limitations of this study, the coefficient of variation gradient generator prohibited operating zones and the effect of this valve, the cost function is real. Applying the coefficients in the objective function, which solve the non-linear function using the proposed Evolutionary Particle Swarm Optimization (EPSO), the results are more better than is achieved by optimizing. Evolutionary Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (EPSO), a method of Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm, which is a multi-purpose algorithm and the Particle Swarm Optimization is rooted in strategy development. Simulation results in comparing with other algorithms such as GA, SA, MTS, TS, PSO, ICA, show that the proposed method has lower production costs, and also reduce losses in power systems
