Abstract:

The interest in preparation and application of nanoparticles is increasing since they can exhibit properties of great industrial interest. Nanoparticles formation is presently a major development of supercritical fluids applications, mainly in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries and related areas. In this article, a great review of recent published results of nanoparticles formation by use supercritical fluids techniques have been presented. After general information as an introduction, supercritical fluids and their properties are introduced. Solubility in supercritical fluids is discussed in brief because it is an important factor in supercritical fluids processes, speseilly in nanoparticles formation. In the next section a great survey of nanoparticles formation techniques using supercritical fluid technology have been done; and many references in each process are used. At all of these, operating conditions are directly related to particles size and particles morphology distribution.
