Abstract:
One of the important viscoelastic parameters of polymer composites is the storage modulus. In this study, the addition of SiO2 nanoparticles in PP / PET polymer composites was investigated. The storage modulus of PP / PET / SiO 2 nanocomposites has been investigated by weight changes of nanoparticles, as well as the average resizing of these nanoparticles (12 and 20 nm). The PP / PET ratio was also tested with the specified values of 20/20 and 5/95. In general, the obtained results of this study, reveals that the present of nanoparticles within the polymer matrix lead to the increase storage modulus. In addition, an increase in the size of the nanoparticles led to a decrease in the storage modulus.
