Abstract:
Acid mine drainage due to the heavy metal contents, is the most important factor of the groundwater contamination. These mine drainages include the large amounts of ferric sulphates and other contaminants which generate uncompensable effects on the environment. Hence engineering control of the acid mine drainage needs a proper and scientific approach. One of the management methods is the previous information analysis. Therefore using the existence recorded data related to mine drainage can produce the optimum control conditions. In this research, using statistical analysis of experimental design, the favorite conditions of the mine drainage were determined. A case study on Sarcheshmeh acid mine drainage introduced the optimum characteristics. The results can be used for better environmental control management.
