Gene-Nutrient Interactions in Cancer; a Systematic Review abstract

In the past decade, advances in molecular biology, have contributed to the understanding of gene function and cause disease. Environmental and nutritional factors and individual genetic background interact in the development of various diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, and degenerative diseases of the nervous. However, the exact mechanisms of gene-nutrient interaction, is not yet fully clear. Identification of gene-nutrient interaction requires the tools for the study of nutrigenomics and phenotypic characteristics. In order to find the available studies on the Gene-nutrient interactions in cancer and perform a review study search was done the databases Medline, Pub med, Science Direct from 2000 to 2015 years. Recent evidence suggests that many of micronutrients and vitamins are important in the mechanism of DNA metabolism. Understanding the pattern of DNA methylation through interaction with nutrients is an important issue, not only to express pathophysiological s condition, but also are used, with the goal of identifying people at risk and Carry out nutritional interventions in them.
