Abstract:
The aim of this study is to evaluate steel shear wall plate with different materials, for this goal, different steel type were used as a shear wall plate after verifying experimental test in ABAQUS software and the shear wall performance is considered. ABAQUS software was employed to model this shear wall and the result shows the numerical models has a close agreement with the experimental result. The result of this study shows employing low stress steel plate decreases displacement in the steel shear wall, however, the stress which has been entered to the plate decreases. Moreover, low steel plate and steel plate has good performance under static load. Ultimately, the shear wall boundary frame thickness is considered as a variable and the impact of the frame is discussed in this paper
