Abstract:

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a parametric technique with the purpose of using the scientific method in order to evaluate the performance of the decision making units (DMU). The congestion is one of the topics that has been taken into the consideration of scientists of this field. The congestion occurs when the increasing input is more than output due to the fact that the congestion occurs more in input/s and the input/s is related to cost. Thus by removing the congestion, costs will decrease and also it can increase the outputs. Therefore, identifying the input and decreasing it can have a lot of benefits. In the present paper, we focus on purposing a new method to minimize the computation of congestion, which means that computing the congestion with the aid of a model.
