Abstract:
Increasing fuel cost and environmental issues force power producers to use high efficiency methods with low pollutant gas emission for power production such as combined heat and power (CHP) generators. Non-linearity, non-convexity and complexity of CHP generators turn combined heat and power economic emission dispatch (CHPEED) problem to a complicated optimization procedure. Due to inability of conventional methods in solving CHPEED problem, heuristic and evolutionary algorithms are needed to solve. The CHPEED problem is a multi-objective optimization problem that production cost and emission are the two competing objective functions. In this paper, multi-objective CHPEED problem is considered as a single objective optimization problem by using weighting coefficients. Exchange market algorithm (EMA) has been used to solve optimization problem and find compromise solutions. In order to select the best compromise solution, fuzzy satisfying method is applied.
