Abstract:
In this paper a planar dual-band band-pass filter is designed and simulated. The filter is based on microstrip ring resonators. Metamaterial split ring resonators is applied to provide dual-band with high rejection properties. Presence of split ring resonators is resulted in existence of two nulls on both sides of each bass band, which leads to high nearby out of band rejection. Electric field distribution on the filter structure, for either of the resonant modes, is investigated and demonstrated graphically.
