Abstract:
Treaties and agreements are vital for global security, peace, healthand development in an increasingly complex, warfighting world.Now the treaty-based collective security regimes are beingundermined by threats, violations and withdrawals.Civil society played vital roles as strategists, activists andadvocates to pressure and enable governments to achieveinternational treaties, like the NPT, INF, CTBT, JCPOA, and2017 Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).This presentation will address the continuing necessity toimplement, uphold and strengthen peace and disarmament, andnext steps for humanitarian, peace and environmental approachesfor peace, health and disarmament.
