Abstract:

Many studies have confirmed the critical role of tasks on language learning. More recently, manyteachers apply different kinds of tasks in their classrooms. The current study investigated theeffect of mobile assisted language learning tasks (MALL) on participants’ English grammarenhancement. The researcher administered a grammar pretest to 60 female high schoolparticipants in intermediate level. Their native language was Azari in Tabriz. The participants’ages ranged between 15 to 17. The researcher taught grammar to both groups inductively andasked the participants to do their assignments based on their group’s tasks. According to the posttest results, it revealed that the experimental group outperformed the control group in terms ofgrammar learning. The study supports the hypothesis that the use of sharing tasks in virtualnetworks can have positive results for grammar learning.
