Abstract:
Drop Shafts are of the oldest engineering structures that are commonly used to transfer surface currents in underground ducts. These structures are used to transfer of both surface water flow and sewage. In sewage Because of the specific discharge that is defined in the process of designing and lack of high variation In sewage, designing, the design is easier. But in collecting of surface current we face more difficult work due to climate change and thus change the flood hydrograph or unforeseen factors such as waste. In this regard, we can use the structures that can reduce the damaging effects of floods and depreciation of its high energy to overcome fatalistic factors . In old structures, depreciation solution was done at the end of structures such as the use of a stilling basin. In this research using the drop, the structure is proposed that over 90% of its energy dissipation occurs along its way. The baffle drop shafts are the modern structure that has recently preoccupied the minds of researchers. In this study, based on experimental results obtained in a laboratory study And by using Flow-3D numerical model the simulations of conducted shafts is studied and their performance when affected by various factors were investigated .
