Epidemiology and Trends of incidence of skin cancer in the Qazvin province , 2000-2013

Background Nowadays, cancer after cardiovascular diseases and accidents is the third leading cause of death in the world and in Iran. In such a situation, planning to cancer rate control is a necessary . The cancer control system is a key component of the Cancer Control System. These data can be effective in many areas, including etiology, health planning, and prevention and care of patients.Methods: In this descriptive study, the incidence of various cancers was recorded based on a national report. Skin cancer was investigated in Qazvin province from 2000 to 2013. In this study, various indices, including the incidence of skin cancer, cancer incidence Sex, in different age groups and at least one thousand were examined.Conclusion: Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma were the most common skin cancers in Qazvin province in the period of 2000 to 2013 , which indicates the high risk factors associated with these cancers.
