OPTIMAL LOCATION AND EFFECT OF DIFFERENT DIAMETER OF CORONA RING DESIGN ON VOLTAGE, FIELD DISTRIBUTION

This paper presents electric field and potential distribution analysis along surface of rubber insulators under clean conditions by using Finite Element Method FEMM and Ansys software. Both these, are software packages for solving electromagnetic problems using FEM. Simulations are conducted for several different corona ring designs and situations. The potential distribution will be uniform with help of corona ring, for farther corona ring from high voltage should be had big diameter. With two corona ring, potential and electric field distribution would be more uniform on surface of the insulator and also optimal location it is discussed
