Abstract:
Co-Si mesoporous aluminium silicate molecular sieves Co-Si-MASM (n) with n=Si/Al molar ratio of 25, 50,100 and 150, were prepared by sol-gel method and were characterized by XRD and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). It was found that these mesoporous materials have textural mesoporosity with particle sizes ≤ 100nm. They were used successfully as a powerful catalyst for synthesis of carbon spheres (CS's) by CVD method. The obtained uniform CS's at 550C and 850C were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), TEM and Raman spectroscopy.
