Abstract:
In this paper, the simulation and optimization of the De-C2 and De-C3 tower utilities in Pars Petrochemical Company were performed using Aspen Tech software. Energy and economic evaluation of this towers were evaluated with Aspen Energy Analyses and Aspen Economic Evaluation, respectively. The influences of different parameters such as inlet stream temperature on the utilities and energy are evaluated for the currently used towers and design suggest of the natural gas liquids (NGLs). The results indicated that the natural gas liquids using design suggest achieves higher separation efficiency because of the optimum temperature of inlet stream to the De-C2 tower, and also involves a low utilities loss in comparison with the currently used De-C2 and De-C3 towers. The simulation results indicate a reduction in the total utilities and heating utilities saving of 32800000 kJ/h and 32780000 kJ/h, respectively.
