Electrical Double Layer of a Bio-Ionic Liquid/Graphene Nano sheet

An amino acid ionic liquid (AAIL) was selected to study the double layer structure by molecular dynamics simulation. Introducing AAIL to graphene sheet resulted a parallel orientation for anion and cation rings near the surface. It was observed that probability of stacking interaction with the graphene surface is higher than stacking of anion-anion and cation-anion rings.
