Abstract:

Background and Aim : Professional emergency workers are exposed to different risk factorsWhich are related to their jobs. The pressure of workload can cause complications such as physicalsymptoms, psychological and behavioral dimensions of general health of the Paramedic staff. Thepurpose of this study was to determine the mental health status of emergency staff of 115Kermanshah city.Methods : In this Descriptive-analytical study, among operational staff working in emergencycenters, 80 eligible participants were included with census sampling method. The data gatheringtool was a demographic characteristics questionnaire and a MMPI 71 questionnaire, which wasobtained using a computer program of individual and general profiles. Finally, the data wereanalyzed by SPSS-16Results : Data were analyzed and descriptive statistics including demographic characterist ics(number, percentage, mean, fashion, etc) were determined. There is a significant positivecorrelation between demographic characteristics and psychological and clinical scales. The degreeof internal correlation between the scales was determined. There were disturbances andabnormalities in the individual interpretation of the profiles, but in the general profile of all clinica lscales in the normal range, there was only a slight increase in the scale of depression, but notenough to be codedConclusion : Job stress can have adverse effects on the clinical performance of the mental healthof the operating personnel as well as in the staff as a whole, with a mild degree of depression. Dueto the inevitability of some factors Job stress, accurate knowledge of the stressors of the workenvironment to modify the possible cases, and the use of measures in Improvement of the workingenvironment is one of the solutions that can help maintain the professional health of this group ofworkers Make.
