Abstract:
In the present work, Structural properties of LaMn(1-x)FexO 3 (x = 0.00, 0.25, 0.75, 1.00) nano-perovskites prepared by the citrate method are investigated. The characterization of the products was studied by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The structural characterization using X’Pert package and Fullprof program is an evidence for structural phase transition. The Fe3+ cation dictates the crystal symmetry in the lanthanum manganite replaced iron perovskites. In Fe- substituted sample, tolerance factor (t) increases and lower symmetry structure transforms toward structure with higher symmetry. The shift of crystal system from rhombohedral to cubic start in replacing of the Mn3+ ions with Fe3+ ions in 25% doping.
