BEST PROXIMITY POINTS AND FIXED POINTS FOR P-CYCLIC SUMMING MEIR-KEELER CONTRACTIONS

In this paper, we introduce the notion of 3-cyclic summingMeir-Keeler contractions as a generalization 3-cyclic summing contractionsand prove the existence of a best proximity point for these class of functionsin the framework of metric spaces with property UC. Our results in thispaper are true for a p-cyclic summing Meir-Keeler contraction.
