Abstract:
In this paper a new method for nonlinear analysis of two dimensional reinforced concrete frames under cyclic loading has been proposed. Each frame is divided into two types of joint and beam-column elements. The effect of bond-slip is considered in the formulation of beam-column element. the effect of pull-out related to embedded longitudinal bars in the joint lements has been considered in numerical modeling. the formulation of the proposed method is derived based on displacement method. A computer program is developed to utilize the proposed method for cyclic analysis of reinfoced concrete frames. The reliability of the method is assessed through comparison of ewperimental and analytical results and good agreement between them has been achived.
