Abstract:

Nowadays, the manufacturing enterprises have been faced with a globalized competitive environment. The Cloud Manufacturing is one of Cloud Computing contributions in the area of manufacturing environment which provides effective tools for manufacturing enterprise to collaborate in globalized market. Cloud Manufacturing has triggered the exploitation of hidden potentials of manufacturing resources which were not available before due to globalized distribution in the form of manufacturing services. Considering the globalized environment in which the aforementioned services might be used, the application of ideas like Internet of Things (IoT) to provide a tools for globalized service coverage can be of valuable research interest. This paper has focused on the concept of the IoT and has studied the dominant Cloud Manufacturing researches to find the opportunities for proposing a novel IoT solution to exploit the Cloud Manufacturing environment. The proposed platform in this paper is not only capable to resolve the globalized cloud manufacturing implementation, but also it is able to integrate different manufacturing clouds. The paper has proposed Cloud Oriented Perspective (CoP) as a model which strongly insures an appropriate infrastructure for providing the cloud-based services. The proposed idea supports both interoperability and integration among different manufacturing clouds. This enables an IoT based solution which provides an integrated service for everything environment through globe for cloud based manufacturing enterprises.
