Foreign direct investment, their impact on the economic development of Albania

Albania is a country that follows the same trend movements which characterize the Southeast Europe’s regions. Albania s current economical features are: a country with a low-cost economy and a poor differentiation. Foreign direct investments have a significant impact on the economies of the developing countries and of course they have the same effect on the Albanian fragile economy. Many countries have benefited from capital inflows in the form of FDI. Considering that foreign investments are a very important asset to Albania economy, the aim of this paper is to provide a general view of the role and determinants of foreign direct investments and an overview of foreign direct investments in Albania in 2004 -2013.
