Abstract:
Consider a tourist who wants to visit a touristic place. There are some Points Of Interests (POI) in this place. Due to the tourist preferences, each POI is associated with a score as well as a visiting cost. The tourist can only visit a number of these POIs in a given limited time. tourist can also choose the transportation facility type (mode) (e.g. bike, taxi, bus, tram, etc.) to move between POIs. Obviously, his choice influences on the transportation time and cost. Moreover, the amount of carbon dioxide emission as a measurement of air pollution is considered when selecting the transportation mode. The cost of visiting POIs and the transportation between them is considered as the total cost of the tour. The goal of tourist is to maximize the overall score, while minimizing the total cost and carbon dioxide emitted from transportation . In this research, the explained problem is modeled as a mixed integer program. Some new small size instances of the problem are created. The model is then implemented in CPLEX and tested using the E-constraint method to find the efficient frontier.
