Cysteine an efficient organo-catalyst for the green synthesis of polyhydroquinolines under solvent-free conditions

A rapid, efficient and green protocol has been developed for the synthesis of polyhydroquinolines via a four-component reaction by the cysteine amino acid as an efficient catalyst under solvent-free conditions. In this reaction, the catalyst shows a highly catalytic nature, easy to handle procedure, short reaction time, and excellent isolated yields.
