Abstract:

In this paper, in order to reduce the complexity of the receiver, Zero-Forcing (ZF) and Minimum Mean Square Error(MMSE) linear receivers are used to decode the well-known Quasi-Orthogonal Space-Time Block Codes (QOSTBCs).We demonstrate that very simple decoding processes are needed in comparison with operations that are utilized todecode Group Orthogonal-Toeplitz Codes (GOTCs), which are the recently proposed Space-Time Block Codes(STBCs) designed based on the ZF and the MMSE linear receivers. In addition to this advantage, simulation resultsalso demonstrate that the proposed method lead superior performance in comparison with GOTCs.
