Abstract:
Polymorphisms of genes can create serious problems for human body such as NOS2 and NOS3 genespolymorphisms. NOS3 plays a notable role in the endothelial function, thus polymorphism of mentioned genecan create some diseases. Also NOS2 gene encodes a nitric oxide synthase that is expressed in the liver. Soattention to these matters and problems linked to it is necessary. On the other hand multiple sclerosis (MS) is ademyelinating disease that it can create damages on the brain and spine tissues. Our aim was study aboutrelationship between NOS2 and NOS3 genes polymorphisms with MS. We did a review on studies which weresearched from Elsevier, Google Scholar, and PubMed and then they were evaluated. Studies showed thatpolymorphisms in the NOS3 gene can influence of MS occurrence and increase its risk. Also NOS3 and NOS2genes can be as markers for above demyelinating disease. The findings suggested that the NOS3 genepolymorphisms is an index for MS susceptibility. Similarly, NOS2 gene polymorphisms can account as one ofMS susceptibility indices. With regard to the findings can concluded that NOS3 and NOS2 genes polymorphismsare important matters in MS. Since MS is a dangerous and serious disease, it seems that pay attention to twomentioned genes can be useful.
