Abstract:

One of the most important stages of partial discharge (PD) detection procedure is noise reduction of PD signal. There are lots of signal processing methods that are used for noise reduction of PD signals. Mathematical Morphology based filters have more superior result than others method. In this kid of filters the length (NO of samples) of Structure Element could affect on the result of noise reduction. In this paper a new morphological filter for denoising of PD signal is proposed which uses a lockup table withpseudo-optimal selection of Structure Element (SE).
