Sustainable Development analysis of the fossil fuel market: Case of natural gas abstract
After the energy crisis of the 1970s, governments have become sensitive to energy changes; this date has been the official starting point for future studies in the field of energy. Iran has long been one of the world s energy export players due to its precious fossil energy resources. In this research, Iran s position in the competitive natural gas market has been investigated using Porter s five competitive forces tool. The results of the analysis showed that Iran has the right place, so there is a need for appropriate investment in Iran s presence in the new natural gas market, export through Liquid Natural Gas (LNG). Currently, the country perceives itself as a global market for exports through pipelines to neighboring countries.
