Growth pattern of striped Ponyfish (Aurigequula fasciata) in Hormozgan Province coasts

To estimate the growth pattern of striped Ponyfish (Aurigequula fasciata), 98specimens were collected from two stations in the Northern Qeshm and Langeh Portduring autumn of 2013. Average total length (TL) and weight of samples were 7.7 ±0. 57 cm and 7.93 g and their range appeared 5.87 -9.17 cm, and 3.006-14.117 g,respectively. Logarithmic length-weight relationship calculated as W = 0/013 + LP3.121Pwhich based on 95% confidence intervals and Pauly test (t =1.39) growth pattern wasestimated to be isometric representing the equal rate of increasing length and weightin this species. Our result was in agreement with other reports from New Caledoniaand Philippines.
