Abstract:

In this study the growth pattern of three-spined stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus)was evaluated. In total 182 specimens were caught using beach seine net in February2013. Sex ratio of male to female was 1:1.76 that showed significant differencebetween sex ration of male to female in population (X2 = 13.74, P<0.05). Maximumtotal length and weight were 72 mm and 6.02 g in females and 68 mm and 3.59 g inmales, respectively. The weight-length relationship of female was W=0.017TL 2.82, (r2= 0.72), for male was W=0.017 TL2.79, (r2 = 0.76) and for population was W=0.012TL2.99, (r2 = 0.76). The results showed a negative allometric growth pattern (t male=8.62, t female = 8.02, t populationR= 10.93, P> 0.05). The condition factor was estimated 1.66± 0.21 in male and 1.71±0.17 in female and the total condition factor was 1.21 ± 0.14.
