Abstract:
In this research the effect of NaCl mineraliser on the synthesis of silica hematite nano composite obtained by using Sol-gel method was reported. In this method TEOS and FeCl3.6H2O were used as precursors for silica and hematite respectively. Silica-Hematite nano composite were analyzed with STA, XRD, AAS, TEM, CIE-Lab tests. Results show that with using NaCl mineraliser, the dimension of the crystals of hematite was increased and the quality of pigments in glaze was decreased. Also the use of mineralisers has effect on the tempreture of silica crystallization and promotes tridymite structure formation.
