Abstract:
streamline -based flow simulation has become the most powerful tool for modeling and optimizing the water floods recently. The most important aspect of streamline simulation is the ability to create and visualize the fluid particle path (reservoir flow) based on the fluid properties , rock properties , well location and injection/production rates. streamlines show how the reservoir is connected and how the fluid is allocated between injectors and producers. the goal of the water flood management is to maximize the oil recovery factor due to the better utiliztion of the available water. this paper presents and approach to optimize the recovery factor and sweep efficieency in water flooding process using streamline simulation in order to make best use of available water. first the well -pair recovery factor RFwp for each injector/producer pair is calculated and then the weighing factor for each injector aing is determined .
