Abstract:
for various reasons , we may not make exploitation from the reservoir of the main well while the drilling considering this we may drill a new hole in the vicinity of the main well which is called side -track well. In mature oil fields , plugging and side - tracking an existing wellbore is often more cost effective than drilling a new well. development in tools and methods have also made sidetracking an economec alternate to conventional fishing jobs, and operators are choosing sidetracking over fighing more frequently than before. in the marun oil field well No . 250 belonging to the asmari formaiton , a side -track well has been drilled because of the existing barrier and casing collapse the aim of this work is to investigate the petrophysical and drilling differences of the main and side track well No.250 of the marun oil field in the formation interval.
