Abstract:
In south pars gas compex phases 2&3 liquid sulhur that is received from SRU units needs to be granulated in specified size in order to facilitate transportation and application. The followings items which are the most important parameters for controlling this unit are investigated;1 liquid sulphur specification and sulphur nozzles arrangement . 2 process water flow rate and the optimum ratio between sulphur and water. 3 seed generation and seed nozzle 4 process air flow 5 temperature profile within the granulation drum. 6 recycle rate . the results of investigation show: 1 a very satisfatory correspondence between particle size distribution PSD, temperature profile, process air and nozzles arrangement . 2 on spec product increased up to 92.5% while as per sudic standard min 75% on spec product is acceptable .
