Condition Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis of a Boiler Feed Pump of Zargan Power Plant abstract
The present article highlights an experimental investigation to monitor the vibration condition of the tow boiler feed pumps (B.F.P.) unit, which is a part of the B.F.P. train of a large utility steam power plant. Four bearings support each B.F.P. Three axial measurements were made at bearing supports for 12 weeks. Displacement and velocity were measured along with horizontal, vertical, and axial directions. Based on the vibration analysis, the causes of excessive vibrations were estimated. Remedial measures were applied toensure safer and fault-free operation of the B.F.P. unit
