Ultrathin PEBA Composite Membrane for CO2 Capture abstract

Carbon dioxide as the major contributor to the greenhouse gas effect is emitting into the atmosphere more than ever. Catastrophic effects of CO2 emissions have enhanced the interest between numerous researchers to find the solution for CO2 separation. Membrane-based carbon capture is becoming more and more favaroble to reduce thegreenhouse gas emissions. Owing to the importance of this subject, in the present study, poly(ether-b-amide) (PEBA)/polysulfone (PSf) composite membrane was seccessfully fabricated by dip-coating method for separation of CO2. The CO2 and N2 gas permeation test and also SEM micrograph were used to characterize the membrane performance. The ultrathin PEBA composite membrane showed a high permselectivity of almost 53 to CO2 at the different pressure differences.
