Abstract:

Nine rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) inbred lines were crossed in a complete diallel matting design in first year (2014-2015) to develop 72 hybrids. Parental lines along with their F1 crosses were evaluated in a 9 × 9 lattice design with two replications was conducted in Dry - land Agricultural Research Station, Sararood, Kermanshah in 2015-16. Ten agronomic traits, including seed yield, seed oil content and some of the yield components were evaluated. Variation among genotypes were highly significant for all the traits. The crosses Delghan × Opera (4.8 gr), RGS003 × Licord (4.75 gr), and RGS003 × Opera (4.73 gr) had the highest 1000 seeds weight. The highest seed yield belonged to genotypes Comet × Opera and Delghan × Licord (3660 and 3616 Kg/ha, respectively). Mean and variation range were for days to flowering and maturity 156 (138-185) and 227 (213-243) days, respectively. The highest % OIL was related to lines Comet (53.11 %), and crosses Comet × Amica and Licord × RGS003 (52.3 and 50.75 % respectively). Mean and variation range was for % OIL 45.5 and 41 - 53%. Interspecific crosses B. napus × B. juncea (as female) also have been made in first year. These crosses were done to transfer useful traits such as seed shatterering of B. juncea into B. napus.
